Rupa M. Khetarpal, PhD, LCSW, is a licensed mental health professional in NJ and NY. She has over two decades of practice experience with survivors of trauma, including survivors of torture, human trafficking, and other forms of gender-based violence.
Rupa was formerly an Associate Professor of Teaching at the Rutgers School of Social Work, and the Director of the Certificate on Interpersonal Violence and Trauma (C-IVT).
Rupa graduated with her PhD from Rutgers, and her primary practice and research interests include understanding and treating complex trauma, anxiety and trauma related mental health disorders, refugees mental health, studying cross-cultural identities, and fostering the development of future social workers through education and supervision.
